GDP announces first solo album in 14 years, "Cross Off Matthew"
Upcoming tour dates with The Front Bottoms and Wicca Phase Springs Eternal

GDP has returned with the announcement of his first proper album in 14 years. Arriving October 23rd, Cross Off Matthew proves that the NJ emcee is still in top form, with 12 tracks of mind-bending beats and razor-sharp bars that are sure to please longtime fans and new listeners alike.
To celebrate the announcement GDP has shared the album's lead single "Island In The Sky" a crunched-out cut of pounding drums and warped production that kicks off the rapper's return with a bang, and offers the perfect introduction to Cross Off Matthew's causticly personal attitude and atmosphere.
GDP got his start in the late 2000s/early 2010s with a run of DIY hip hop albums that were heavily informed by his roots in hardcore punk and skateboarding. His early releases gained traction within independent rap circles but after years of grinding he shelved the project to focus on photography, film, publishing, and even global health work. But he never strayed far from music and in 2025 he released ENDOCRINE, a collaborative album with Fatboi Sharif, that officially marked his return to the GDP moniker.
Now Cross Off Matthew is the first proper GDP album since 2013's Holla and it strikes a balance between fearlessly expanding his sound and reminding listeners of what made him such a formidable presence in underground hip hop to begin with. The record is a slow-cooked labor of love, born out of taking enough time away from something to understand the journey with greater perspective and appreciation. "I'm older, arguably wiser, but that creative fire stayed with me," GDP says. "I wanted to make something that felt nuanced, something that ! could feel proud of." Throughout the record he examines vices, interpersonal relationships, the collective dread of late-stage capitalism as well as the pitfalls and rewards of trying to lead a creative life in the midst of it--all with GDP's trademark humor and commentary, now refined by years of life lived experience.
GDP has also announced a run of US tour dates, including shows with The Front Bottoms and Wicca Phase Springs Eternal. See full itinerary below.
