Daydream Plus shares new song "More Time Alone"

Debut LP from Tomb Mold alter ego is out 7/10

Daydream Plus, the aurally opposite alter ego of lauded death metal band, Tomb Mold, recently announced their debut album, Second Last Day of Summer, and today they're back with another new single, "More Time Alone."

Arriving July 10th, Second Last Day of Summer is a feel-good fusion of math rock, city pop, and '90s emo instrumentals that captures the bittersweet nostalgic fun of the waning summer months. "More Time Alone" follows lead single "Speed Limit" and offers another cut of mind-bending musicianship and sugary sweet melodicism, this time leaning into the band's city pop influences with a saxophone solo by Joseph Shabason (Destroyer, War on Drugs), to soundtrack a warm June evening.

Daydream Plus' video game fandom goes beyond just influence: in addition to all the usual listening formats, the band teamed with Batlab Electronics to create an alternative chiptune version of Second Last Day of Summer called Extended Forecast, which is available exclusively via a limited NES compatible cartridge.
