Although not as widely recognized as the bands Self-Titled follow up, Belongs to the Dead is Tigers Jaw's first release. Showcasing early, charmingly lo-fi versions of songs that would become some of the bands most revered work, the original release suffered from never being properly mixed or mastered. Original recordings of songs like The Sun, Danielson, and Jet Alone show a pair of talented songwriters finding their sound, offering an intimate glimpse of the style and aesthetics that would later come to define the band.
