Captain, We’re Sinking’s debut full length “The Future is Cancelled” is officially out today. You can order the record on viny or CD in our webstore, or purchase it digitally for $5 by clicking the cover art above. Here’s what Punknews.org had to say about the release in their perfect 5/5 review.
The Future Is Cancelled is a triumph of intelligently-conceived, darkly thematic songwriting as well as a welcome celebration of the scope and promise of all that punk music can offer. It brings to mind the feeling that overtook me the first time I heard “The Revisionist” or “Kinetic” and began to understand that an album can very much change your life.
The eagerly awaited debut full-length, titled Youth, from Michigan’s Citizen will finally be released on June 11, 2013 via Run For Cover Records. Today, MTV Buzzworthy premiered the third track from the record “The Summer”. Guitarist Nick Hamm explains why they chose the song, saying “We thought “The Summer” was a good meeting of Mat and my writing styles and it ended up being one of my favorites on the record because of that.” The song can currently be heard at: http://buzzworthy.mtv.com/2013/05/13/citizen-the-summer/
Pre-orders for Youth are currently available via the Run For Cover webstore. Click the cover art above to be check out the pre-orders and packages.
In this weeks Tuesdays with Tay, Tay wears a camouflage ULINE baseball hat, tries to do a backflip in our office, and tells us what bands he would sign to Run For Cover if he could. Also learn about what our top selling releases are, and who each RFC staff member would be if we were super hero’s. It’s a good one!
