Stereogum was nice enough to post the bands new music video (directed by Rob Soucy) for the brand new song “New Scream.” If you missed it, the first single from Peripheral Vision, “Cutting My Fingers Off” premiered on Fader and was one of Stereogum’s best songs of the week.

Crying new song, tour with Eskimeaux stars today

Crying’s dates with Eskimeaux start today with a free banger at the Brooklyn Night Bazaar with Teen Suicide. Crying also released a new single the other day called “Patriot” which showcases the band’s fascination with Rush, and it’s awesome.

Rocky Votolato – The Light and Sound 10″ (Record Store Day)

RFC120-900

Record Store Day 2015 (April 18th) will see Rocky Votolato’s The Light and Sound EP released on vinyl for the very first time through Run For Cover. Originally released in 2003 on CD, the Light and Sound EP was the four song precursor to Rocky’s incredible “Suicide Medicine” LP released later in the same year. Named after, and also sharing the same opening track, the EP also includes three songs recorded during the “Suicide Medicine” sessions, which end up shining a light on Votolato at his absolute darkest. “A Discourse On Killing,” “Blue And Grey” and “The Rain Will Come” are simply chilling tracks, and also some of his best. The sentiments on loss of love, murder, and betrayal are prominent and direct, and although its hard to tell who Votolato is speaking to, the songs hold no less of an impact because of it. You can stream the release below.

Want a copy? Check your local record store on April 18th! We will also have a very limited number of copies available through our web store closer April 18th.
